Kai Hazelgrove
Yoga Teacher
Kai is passionate about women's health and well-being. She loves that yoga can be a journey of self exploration, where you can finish a practice feeling completely different to how you felt when you started and that you can get the sense that there is nothing missing. Feminine Yoga practices have been what Kai has been exploring more and more after experiencing a hormonal disorder and having trouble falling pregnant with her first child. Kai has found that by understanding that by following monthly cycle side by side with the moon cycle it has helped her reconnect in with her body and is nourishing for all of her system whilst also feeling very aligned and connected with Mother Earth. Kai currently teaches a heart-centered Slow Flow Yoga (with a Viniyoga background which is used for Yoga Therapy), Mums and Bubs Yoga, Feminine Flow for Fertility which encompasses, Slow Flow, Yin, Restorative postures, Meditation and Pranayama.
Yoga, dancing, cooking nourishing meals, reading, connecting with friends, enjoying uplifting rituals and appreciating the simple things in life are what she enjoys most. Plus of course, spending quality time with loved ones!
Kai completed her 200 hour foundational yoga teacher training in 2017 and a further 150 hour advanced yoga teacher training with Rachel Nokes from Ray of Light Yoga in 2018. Kai has been practicing and teaching yoga regularly ever since and is continuously studying and practicing yoga, both self study and from other experts in yoga.
Yoga classes are often themed, using Vinyasa Krama (intelligent steps towards a goal pose) and layered options to suit different needs and abilities. Kai enjoys weaving mindfulness and other yoga philosophy in a creative and lighthearted way. Based on her own direct experience, Kai draws influence from different yoga styles primarily Viniyoga, Anusara, Vinyasa and Yin. Pranayama, Mindfulness and Meditation are also an important component of Kai's classes and often the class will be a moving meditation, linking breath with movement.
In 2019 Kai completed Teaching Yoga for Trauma, Anxiety, Depression & Body Image teacher training with Sarah Ball. Practicing yoga regularly helped Kai overcome anxiety and depression challenges and enabled her to feel free to feel and express emotion and a sense of freedom in a healthy way rather than feeding herself with unhealthy habits that provided very short term solutions. As a result Kai aims to teach classes that provide her students an opportunity to feel safe and stable in their bodies and empowered to make their practice their own and to provide tools to help them find what works for them to feel reconnected and full of vitality.
Kai has continued her yoga teacher studies completing Prenatal Yoga, Active Birth and Postnatal Yoga with Briony Goodsell from The Nesting Place. Kai has been teaching Mums and Bubs yoga (postnatal) for a couple of years. Kai enjoys providing space and an opportunity for women to connect in a non judgmental and nurturing environment.
Other courses Kai has attended include a 3 weekend Anusara yoga teacher training immersion with Cassandra Missio from Earth and Sky Yoga, Ayurveda Goddess with Katie Rose,
The Subtle Practices of Yoga, Advanced yoga teacher training, and Devi Yoga teacher training all with Creature Yoga.
Kai has completed Fertility Yoga teacher training level 1 and 2 through Bliss Baby Yoga.
Kai is excited to be offering Feminine Flow 6 week Fertility Yoga course. Next course starts 25th July 2022.

Teagan Barnett
Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist
Teagan has had an interest in yoga since attending her first class in high school for school sport. She was amazed at the feeling of lightness & freedom combined with groundedness & the ability to focus with more ease. From then on she was hooked & continued to practice yoga on & off at gyms up to her mid twenties, whilst living in Sydney working as an accountant & climbing the corporate ladder. Due to being a perfectionist & high achiever, she began to suffer from high functioning anxiety & depression, so she knew a huge change was needed. In 2017 she commenced her 200hr teacher training with Ray of Light in Bulli.
During her training over 10 months, Teagan became immensely passionate about yoga once learning of the deep philosophy involved & the incredible transformative effects yoga can have on people’s lives, including her own. Yoga can lead people to less suffering & more joy as it teaches them to rely less on the outside world for gratification & to seek contentment from within. On completing her teacher training in November 2017, her life’s purpose became apparent.
Teagan loves to share the wisdom of yoga through her yoga classes, intricately theming each class with a message from ancient yogic philosophy & intelligent sequence design. She understands that each person is unique, so aims to provide a variety of tools & techniques that cater for all. Her classes strictly follow the principles of Viniyoga, a style founded by the grandfather of modern yoga, Shri T. Krishnamacharya. This style of yoga will particularly benefit those suffering from physical or mental ailments in their life looking for a way to improve their health & wellbeing & lead a more calm & blissful life.
Teagan is a qualified Intuitive Balinese massage therapist & loves to nurture her clients in the treatment room. This style of massage incorporates stretching and long flowing strokes with deep tissue massage, which stimulates the lymphatic system, improving the function of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems, and encourages release of toxins and stress from the body. Teagan modifies her massage style to suit her clients needs by listening to both the client and their body signals. Unfortunately she is unable to offer any health rebate.
Teagan also loves to walk her puppies, Bear & Bibi, on little Austi Beach. She finds the ocean & nature very calming & healing, always gravitating towards it in her life. She is an introverted, creative soul who enjoys cooking healthy Ayurvedic meals, dancing, music (especially old songs), painting & snuggles with loved ones.
After completing 150hr advanced yoga training with Ray of Light, Teagan embarked on her first trip to India in January 2019 for three weeks to study yoga therapy with Dr.N.Chandrasekaran. This training will be completed in early 2022 & Teagan will return to India each year in January until then. Teagan is also undertaking a kids yoga course with Rainbow Yoga & she recently completed the Subtle Practices of Yoga with Creature Yoga.
Teagan views herself always as a student & she bows to all the teachers that have led her on her path including Rachel Nokes, Dr N. Chandrasekaran, Sarah Ball, Lis White, Briony Goodsell, Katie Rose, Leanne Davis, Kathy Gaudiosi, Gopala Amir Yaffa & Rosie, Bess & Tahl from Creature Yoga
